Roxana Boldeanu is Home Manager at Ferfoot Care Home.
"As the Home Manager, I believe our residents should be treated with the highest quality of care possible to ensure that my team and I always maintain this. I lead by example and involve myself in day the day-to-day life of the home, as well as making Ferfoot a happy and enjoyable place in which to live and work.
I enjoy spending time with relatives and residents, understanding the important contribution these relationships make to successfully running a care home.
I have over 15 years of experience in the care sector, having worked in various roles, including carer, senior carer, and deputy manager, before becoming home manager. All my roles have given me insight and knowledge, which I draw upon daily and share with my team.
It is important to me to develop team members to achieve their best, which means that together, we make a difference in the lives of each resident in our care."
At Ferfoot Care Home in Chippenham, we provide residential and dementia care for up to 52 older people in a family home built from Wiltshire stone in 1902. Our home has an excellent reputation in the local area and we maintain strong links with our community. Ferfoot is considered one of the leading residential dementia care homes in the county and is situated in the attractive market town of Chippenham.
Our home operates an open visiting policy, helping friends and family to visit with residents at times that are convenient for them.
Sitting on the river Avon, Chippenham is an iconic historical market town and one of the West Country’s most vibrant places to visit. Known for its strong Anglo-Saxon heritage and vibrant street markets, the town enjoys a cultural heritage that is showcased in our local museums – both the Chippenham Museum & Heritage Centre and the Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre – which are located in the compact and lively town centre.
Chippenham has a wealth of beautifully maintained parks, play areas and open spaces – notably John Coles Park, with its mature trees and Victorian Bandstand, and Monkton Park which sits on the banks of the River Avon.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
