Meet The Manager

Anna Demicoli is Registered Manager at Field House Care Home.

My name is Anna and I am the Manager here at Field House. I came into care just over 8 years ago working in a Care Home for people living with Dementia. In my last place of work I trained and gained the qualifications that enabled me to become a Care Practitioner, I am very proud of this achievement. I came to Field House in April 2020 when the opportunity arose for a Deputy Manager. I always wanted to progress into management from the moment I started in care. I have a great passion for care and strive to ensure the team provide the highest quality care to our residents. Out of work, I like to spend time with my children and love holidays on the beach.

A personal message from the owners Geoff and Zoe Butcher –

“As a family owned and run business we work exceptionally hard to provide first class accommodation and high-quality 24-hour specialist care to our residents. With input from our dedicated management team and highly experienced carers, we strive to provide exceptional support to residents with all forms of Dementia and Alzheimers. At Field House, our ethos is centred around the residents. We see the house as their home and ourselves the visitors. The warming and welcoming environment is just one of many reasons why we stand out as one of the best Dementia care homes in the Stourbridge and Kidderminster area.
We take great pride in the service offered at Field House and encourage as many independent activities and self-sufficiency as possible. With the support of daughter Hannah (Operations Director) and son Michael (Finance Director) and all the talented care team, we do everything in our power to ensure a resident never has to leave Field House. We work closely alongside GP’s, District Nurses and other specialists to provide superior levels of care.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Activities Are So Important

At Field House Care Home, we are passionate about supporting residents to manage their health and wellbeing and be active and happy. We want to make sure the daily lives of our residents are as comfortable and fulfilling as possible and ensure that they get the most out of life. We offer a wide variety of daily activities including activities and games designed for those with Dementia.

Residents will lead a happy and satisfied life here at Field House.

We work with our residents to ensure they maintain positive and provide activities that provide entertainment, pleasure and fulfilment. These can be social and stimulating activities, encouraging them to continue or to take up new hobbies, to arranging events that encompass not only residents and staff, but also family members.

Part and parcel of creating a comfortable home for our residents, is supporting residents to share with us their memories of their past. This helps them connect with our staff and other residents, and also allows them to express their personalities. Divulging little anecdotes and stories also enables residents to feel more relaxed, as though Field House is a home from home.

We have created games, such as ‘What is in the box?’ which entails a suitcase full of memorabilia, designed to trigger memory and stimulate residents’ thought processes. Numerous studies show that memory retention is aided by such methods, helping residents remain much more self-reliant.

Our stimulating activities and games are not just led by staff – we engage residents by asking them about their likes, hobbies and interests, so that we can involve them with tasks for the whole house, and residents’ relatives and friends who visit us.
