Meet The Manager

Nisha Shaji is General Manager at Glebefields Care Home.

Hi, my name is Nisha, and I am the General Manager here at Glebefields. Welcome to our website!

I have worked in the UK since 2011 and completed my masters in Nursing from John Moore’s University, Liverpool. I have worked as a nurse since 2008 in a clinical practice and teaching nursing students. I am a hard working person and enjoy the challenges of this profession. I am a person who learns and leads by experience. I believe in team work and I am dedicated to our residents and to providing the best personalised care possible. I enjoy working with the elderly and vulnerable to meet their needs based on individualised expectations. We as a team, aim to be transparent and like to be approachable.

Nestled in a charming village near Banbury, Glebefields is an impressive stone-built former rectory, overlooking miles of countryside in an area known for its outstanding natural beauty, including the adjacent Norman Parish Church of St. Peter. We offer high quality residential, nursing and respite care in a warm and friendly environment. Our staff are always conscious of providing just the right support that each resident requires.

Many of the rooms have doors that open out on to the patio, so the serenity of the countryside is never far away. The home is tastefully decorated, making it as unique as its residents—it's a home that inspires pride in all.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are working within the government guidelines to help protect our staff and clients.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
