Activities Are So Important

At Angel Healthcare, we pride ourselves on providing the most opportunities for our residents. When residents are able to, we encourage participation in activities, both within the care homes and off site. Residents regularly get involved with crafting – be that for Christmas decorations, love hearts for Valentine’s Day or decorating Easter eggs.

The activities also help with hand-eye coordination, concentration and other motor skills. During the activity there is always a lovely atmosphere, either calm and concentration or laughter and chatter.

When residents participate in arts and crafts, the staff display the work throughout the care homes, allowing residents and visitors to admire the work and again, become a topic of conversation.

Drawing and crafting isn’t just something the elderly in residential care can enjoy. Relatives at home can also enjoy such activities with all members of the family, not just to look back on old memories, but also to create new ones.

Our Pets

Residents are welcome to bring a pet to an Angel Healthcare care home, if it settles in well and fits in with the dynamics of the home and other residents. Moving into a residential care home can be daunting, so bringing along a much-loved pet to share the experience with will help a new resident settle into their new home.

As part of the activities programme, other animals are also welcome to visit the care homes. The residents found interacting with the reptiles when they came to visit particularly amusing!
