Wendy Hambrook is Registered Manager at Grangefield Residential Care Home.
Wendy is an all-round star! She is deeply passionate about care and works tirelessly to achieve the best for our clients. She is professional, proactive and meticulous. She has gained widespread respect for the way in which she operates our services.
Our staff, many of whom live locally, are key to our success. They are well-trained, respected and enthusiastic about what they do.
What makes our staff team so special is that they are part of small, close-knit and well-run care home.
Grangefield is a beautiful and stylish Edwardian home with a manicured courtyard garden. Most of the bedrooms open out on the garden. Residents enjoy a range of all-inclusive facilities such as hairdressing, chiropody, bar drinks as well as a host of activities, events and entertainment. There is something different to do every day.
The theme in the home is very much about fitting in around the residents. Want a lie-in followed by a full English breakfast? That’s not a problem at Grangefield.
The home is run by a dedicated manager and a team of passionate local carers. The owner is also closely involved in the home. Families and friends are encouraged to be a part of the home through in-house forums. By remaining small and close-knit, Grangefield is able to offer both personalised and attentive care.
The home has invested heavily in technology to help improve the lives of its residents. Digital systems are used for care planning, medication, sign-ins and nurse-calls. Additionally, the home has a strong focus on staff training and development. As a result, Grangefield has a team of long-standing and motivated carers who love their jobs.
Grangefield understands that more than anything elderly people need love and understanding. They have earned the right to be respected and valued. This knowledge forms the basis of our care philosophy.
