I have been part of Mission Care since 2011 when I joined as a Senior nurse, then became a Home Manager in August 2012, I have been a nurse both in Zimbabwe and the UK for 25 years.
Mission Care feels like home. I love the Christian Ethos and values that we hold and practice as a team. I work with a strong, dedicated and caring team that delivers consistent care with love and compassion all-round the hierarchy, top to bottom. We care for the most wonderful people with complex care needs. Making a positive impact in residents’ lives gives me a fulfilment and purpose to serve others.
The culture of the organisation reflects oneness of purpose to make a difference in our community. For me there is no place like Mission care… It is just the best.
When Greenhill first opened back in 1949, it provided a safe, caring and loving environment for our residents, many of whom had been affected by the Second World War. Some had lost everything and found themselves living alone. Greenhill became a home where, thanks to our dedicated staff, hope and happiness soon became part of the daily routine. Today is no different.
Greenhill is a home where fun is often top of the agenda. Our staff work with care and compassion to put a smile on our residents’ faces – from bingo to pub quizzes, flower arranging to group sing-alongs – activities are delivered every day of the week, making a big difference to our resident’s lives.
