Paul Fenech is General Manager at Thames View.
I believe that our residents should be treated with the highest quality of care possible and endeavour to ensure that my team and I always maintain this, whilst making each day memorable.
I take a lot of pleasure from spending time with relatives and residents, understanding the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of our community.
I have worked in the hospitality sector my entire career and have had the opportunity to work and manage a large private hospital as well as amazing hotels. My previous experience means that I can therefore provide a service to our residents, families, guests, and colleagues, which is the highlight of my day.
At Thames View, we are one big family and everything we do is from the heart, delivering care with empathy and always being helpful to our residents and team for no other reason than to make a difference every day.
This luxurious Grade II listed mansion is situated on the banks of the River Thames in the sought-after village of Thames Ditton. This thoughtfully updated care home provides residential, nursing, and dementia care, a range of exciting daily activities, with comfortable quiet spaces to relax or entertain visiting family or friends.
Enjoy a film in the cinema, be pampered in the luxury hair salon, or have fun with fellow residents in the dedicated activities room. Our historic building is surrounded by picturesque riverside gardens, offering stunning views across the River Thames to Hampton Court Palace, and ideal for a stroll to watch the river traffic pass by.
The highly-trained and dedicated staff members provide first-class personalised care that supports each resident’s individual needs and choices. Maintaining strong relationships with family and friends and the local community is important too, so we regularly host events and activities to bring the local community together with our residents, as well as trips out for our residents to local places of interest.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
The team at Thames View is passionate about enabling residents to continue with the routines and interests they enjoy, while discovering new hobbies and making new friends. When your loved one joins us, we’ll get to know them well, learning about their life and the things they’d like to achieve. Dependent on an individual resident’s needs there are a number of enhancements on offer which can add to the quality of life, especially in a care home setting. Entertainment, events and activities are all regularly available for any resident wishing to take part. Our Health and Wellbeing team run a variety of activities seven days a week, ranging from music sessions to talks, bridge club to reading groups, yoga classes to creative pursuits. They want to ensure residents can be as active or sociable as they like, and are able to find like-minded people to share time with. At Thames View we play a key part in our local community. The local prep school meets here regularly, and a young people’s theatre group often rehearses in the home. We also enjoy regular talks from local groups and experts such as the Tate Modern. Our residents are as free to get as involved in social events as they wish to. If they prefer to read the paper, do a jigsaw or stay in their bedroom, we will respect their choices and support them however we can. |
