Feel truly comforted, at Hamble Heights

We understand that moving into a residential care home can be a difficult and daunting time for families. However, as a leading care home in the Southampton area, we aim to make the transition as easy as possible and to ensure families feel welcome.

We provide the highest levels of elderly care available, including Dementia / Alzheimer’s, nursing and residential care. Whether you need short or long term support, we offer the very best care from top healthcare professionals – not only in terms of their experience but also their compassionate nature.

Our purpose-built care home has a delightful community of 60 residences. Our first class care extends from wonderful staff and fantastic facilities, with an en suite bathroom in every room; to the very smallest of details, such as movement-triggered lights in the bathroom, touch lamps next to every bed, and a choice of nutritional meals every day – making life as comfortable and homely for you as we can.

All the comforts of home

Our highly qualified, dedicated care teams are specialists in each area of elderly care. Our distinctive and responsive individual care plans reflect not only your care needs but also your unique character and preferences.

Respite Care Yes

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We maintain diligent infection control and cleaning procedures across all of our homes. Staff follow the latest Government guidance to ensure we are adhering to the latest advice. Measures remain in place in our homes to keep our residents, staff and families as safe and supported as possible.

We continue to be committed to the safety of our residents, staff and visitors, and ask that visits are booked and that PPE is worn by all visitors.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Sterilisation & Disinfection Devices We are using sterilisation and/or disinfection devices within our care setting.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Safe Visiting Space
safe-tick We have a safe visiting space

We are conscious that despite the easing of restrictions, some visitors may still prefer to take precautions when visiting their loved ones.

During the pandemic we installed purpose-built Visiting Lounges, which are divided by a floor to ceiling screen and also benefit from an intercom system to ensure conversations can continue unhindered by the screen. We are very proud to have created a warm and comfortable place for visitors and residents alike to meet.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Our Building and Facilities

Environments full of light and space are health-giving. As such, the architecture of Hamble Heights has been purposely designed with this in mind. Its grand French doors and large verandas bring an abundance of light to the communal rooms.

Each floor has its own dining room and kitchenette. The kitchen and dining areas are beautifully fitted. Families can catch up over a cup of tea in the kitchen areas, or in the private dining rooms.

The home’s salon ensures residents feel like a million dollars. The living rooms include comfy chairs where residents can relax in company, or they can choose to sit in more snug areas of the home if residents would prefer some quiet time.

The landscaped garden offers a beautiful and peaceful place to relax. The raised flower beds and vegetable patch are ideal for any green-fingered residents who would like to help to tend.

Activities Are So Important

We have a dedicated Activities Coordinator to create fantastic and engaging weekly programmes of activities. These include daily activities that our care staff get involved with and enjoy with you, as well as outside entertainers that we invite into the home; such as singers, dancers, musicians and aerobic movement instructors.

We listen to residents and learn about them so that we can find thoughtful and imaginative ways to connect with every person. Whether you are an animal-lover, a keen gardener, a musician, or you enjoy arts and crafts. Maybe there is a past hobby you would like to do again, such as painting? Or perhaps you simply take pleasure in a nice cup of tea and a good chat…

We are devoted to bringing a smile to your face every day, whatever it takes.
