Located in the attractive area of Yarm in Stockton on Tees, at the heart of the Tees Valley, Highfield is a friendly, purpose-built care home with 38 beds offering residential and residential dementia care.

Highfield’s Home Manager makes sure that all Residents receive the kindest possible care. Our extensively trained team will deliver all the specialist care and support services that your loved one requires. Personalised care plans consider not only medical, personal and dietary needs, but also the individual’s likes and dislikes, religious preferences, and suggestions from family members that might make their stay with us that little bit more enjoyable.

Our Building and Facilities

Residents have the choice of three sitting rooms and two dining areas, so there is plenty of choice of places to socialise and dine at Highfield. The café and hairdressing salon are popular, and the sunny conservatory is a great spot to relax in the afternoon. A pretty courtyard garden looked after by some of the Residents is the perfect setting to take family and friends for a cup of tea and a catch up.

Activities Are So Important

The carers and Residents at Highfield enjoy playing an important part in their local community. The home encourages an atmosphere of fun and inclusion and runs a weekly programme of events, which includes talks and demonstrations from local people willing to share their knowledge and talents. Performers from the area regularly visit and entertain Residents with songs, sketches, singing and dancing, and members of neighbourhood groups, volunteers and other locals often drop in for a cup of tea and a chat.
