Meet The Manager

Francesca Cowley is Home Manager at Highmarket House.

As a Home Manager, I am constantly striving to make the home a better place. At Highmarket House we’re very passionate about supporting residents to live well, whether that’s delivering tailored activities, award-winning food or providing residents living with dementia namaste care, every department pulls together to support residents.

Having a role in leadership is a privilege, making the resident’s and teams day is important to me. I worked for Care UK for 5 years, Care UK is an excellent care provider to work for, it’s a growing organisation focused on the delivery of quality care.

Knowing I’m making a positive impact on residents' lives is what motivates me. I’m very proud of the way the team delivers exceptional care to residents and their loved ones. It’s one big family at Highmarket House and that’s what makes it a very special home. Everyone who works at Highmarket House takes a ‘whole home’ approach to caring for residents.

Francesca Cowley

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Air Filtration & Purification We are using air filtration and/or air purification devices within our care setting.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.

Safe Visiting Space
safe-tick We have a safe visiting space

All Care UK homes now have purpose-built internal or external visiting suites available which enable visits to take place from behind a sealed glass panel, using a sound system to assist with communication. Where Government guidance and local health teams allow, these suites make it possible to continue visiting even when we have a case of Covid-19 in the home.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Wireless Internet access (WiFi)

Yes, our care home has WiFi in all our resident’s rooms.

Mobile Phone Network Coverage (mobile “signal”)

Yes, our care home has mobile phone signal in all our resident’s rooms.

Telephone for external calling

Our care home provides a telephone in some of our residents’ rooms.

Social media provides an up to date window on the activities within a provider's setting.

With the restrictions on visiting during the pandemic, social media platforms such as these offer real insight when you are choosing a provider.

Activities Are So Important

When you visit Highmarket House, you might hear us having a singalong to a favourite visiting musician, or see wonderful artworks being made at a creative class.

Residents enjoy the pamper sessions that we organise in the hair and beauty salon, and you never know what surprise is in store: at Easter it was more like Highmarket farm here, as residents cuddled visiting rabbits, ducks, chicks and lambs!
