Meet The Manager

Shabana is Home Manager at Hill House Nursing Home.

I’m Shabana the manager at Hill House Nursing Home. I have a combined experience of 23 years in nursing and care management both in the UK and overseas. My values and passions have been consistent from the start. I pride myself on the quality and high standard of care with a person- centred approach based on each individual resident by creating and supporting a homely and warm atmosphere where residents feel safe and well cared for. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time so far at Hill House especially due to the friendliness and resilience of the staff and the warmth of the residents which I believe is a truly special place to live and work.

Hill House is a friendly and happy family run nursing home specialising in nursing, dementia care, elderly and palliative care. The home is rated Outstanding for Care and Good overall by CQC.

Hill House is a modern, purpose built 56 bedroom nursing home. It is committed to providing the highest level of care in a dignified and compassionate way, with the best facilities and equipment in a safe, comfortable home, with trained, experienced staff. All of the staff are permanently employed with no agency staff used.

Qualified nurses and trained carers strive to improve the quality of life of the residents who have chosen to live at the home. The residents are at the heart of the home, helping to chose our chefs menus and picking the activities programme. There is a full and diverse activities programme for the residents put on throughout the home, providing many opportunities to socialise, participate and pursue their own interests.

Everyone at Hill House wants the residents to be comfortable, well cared for and enjoy living at Hill House.

All of our staff are now vaccinated for Covid.

The residents help to choose the activities programme through the residents committee meetings. In addition to this time is set aside for specialist one to one activities for individuals.

The home has also invested heavily in interactive and stimulating activity tables and have also created a quiet room for residents who like peace and quiet and their own space.
