Jennifer Burdett is Home Manager at Abbey House.

Abbey House is a privately owned, registered care home in Leicester, providing residential, dementia and respite care for the elderly.


Located in the quiet residential area of Stokes Wood Park, the entire building is purpose built for maximum ease of access and the comfort of all residents. Local shops and amenities are on the doorstep and a bus route goes from outside the home, straight into town. This helps maintain independence for the our residents who can continue to enjoy being a part of the local community for as long as they wish.

Abbey House has four comfortable lounges, a light and modern dining room and each of the bathrooms has been designed with ease of access in mind. In addition, the home also boasts a beautifully maintained courtyard garden; a relaxing sun trap that can be enjoyed by our residents all year round.

Abbey House care home has a well-rounded activity plan that caters to everyone. Staff are dedicated to involving all residents and adapt activities as needed to suit individual preferences. A staff member remarked, 'If a planned activity doesn't appeal to a particular person, we always have alternative options ready to ensure everyone stays engaged and fulfilled.'
