Carolyn Beauchamp is Head of Care Services at Hollymount Residential and Dementia Care Centre.
I have over 20 years experience in care and been a manager for over 6 years, working with a range of clients, now focusing on elderly residential/dementia clients. I have a leadership and management Level 5, and achieved my Sterling University qualification in dementia care mapping. I enjoy my work at Hollymount and get great satisfaction daily. We are a big family here, promoting equality and diversity in the home. I am passionate for continual improvement in staff knowledge crucial to their roles to ensure they have the necessary skills. Reflective practice is crucial to my professional development. Criticising my own practice isn't always easy but reflecting and re-observing benefits me and my skills to improve my knowledge to support me as a role model for other staff. I have a son who is very important to me along with my family. I am fully dedicated to Hollymount and look forward to developing the service and further improving the home
