Meet The Manager

Tawona Nhamo is Care Home Manager at Homefield.

I have passion working in a care home setting, inspiring, and motivating my team. We take pride in ensuring residents we care for and their loved ones feel valued.

I mostly enjoy working with the wider Multidisciplinary team as this enables us to deliver person-centred care and our residents can enjoy a fulfilling life.

Working at Mission care since June 2020, has been an enjoyable experience and have found being a Leader such an honour.

Tawona Nhamo

Homefield is one of the leading care homes in Bickley and we provide a high level of care for our elderly and vulnerable residents. We help to provide specialist care where it’s needed and aim to create a community where our elderly residents are happy living. We provide a range of activities for our residents and our staff work hard to put a smile on their faces.

“All we can do is try and relieve the pressing necessities of the sick and suffering, to ease the burdens off weary, tired shoulders, and to bring something of the hope and comfort of the Gospel of Jesus Christ into our lives” Selena Fox, Mission Care founder.

To this day, Homefield is an environment that truly reflects our founder’s vision of providing respite and care as well as hope and comfort for residents, relatives and staff alike. As a care home in Bickley specifically focused on providing care for those living with advanced dementia, Homefield provides support beyond that just given to our residents.

When you walk through the doors, everybody knows your name. It is a care home where you can seek comfort and familiarity and an environment that encourages you to share experiences – good and bad, happy and sad. It is a care home that inspires community and a sense of belonging with kind hearted, passionate staff who go the extra mile for those they are caring for, be it residents, relatives, friends or loved ones.
