James Falvey is Home Manager at Homewood.
James is the registered Care Home Manager at MHA Homewood and began his journey at the home as a Deputy Manager in 2019. James has a passion for care and brings a wealth of experience and a personal commitment to ensuring the best possible care for the residents at Homewood.
Tucked away in the elegant and prosperous town of Royal Leamington Spa, MHA Homewood is residential and reisidential dementia care home providing care for up to 50 residents. The home has a rich history spanning 70 years and is conveniently located near the A452 and just a short distance away from the town centre and local amenities.
The beautifully landscaped gardens are surrounded by flowerbeds, patios, and secure pathways, providing the perfect environment for residents to enjoy strolls or use as a quiet reflection space. Thanks to the efforts of local volunteers and The Princes Trust, the gardens have been revitalised into a lively hub for summer parties, birthday celebrations, and gardening activities.
Each spacious single ensuite room is thoughtfully designed for comfort and privacy, with unique views of the beautiful gardens. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms, creating a true sense of home. The communal areas, including lounges and dining rooms, foster a welcoming environment for socialising, relaxing, and engaging in daily activities.
From chair fitness exercises to singalongs with the live music performances, Homewood offers a balance of vibrancy and calmness where every resident is treated like family. Whether you’re searching for yourself or a loved one, for short stays or residential care, the team at Homewood are here to help.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. Activities Are So Important |
---|
Our Activity Coordinator keeps our residents active and entertained with a fun-packed activities calendar. Activities include: bowls, tai chi, quizzes, games, drama sessions, exercise classes, art sessions, bingo, scrabble, knit and knatter, poetry, gardening knitting, church services plus personal support from our chaplain who is employed at Homewood. We enjoy regular visits from pet therapy animals and have recently welcomed alpacas and chicks in to the home. And we love any excuse to put on a themed event. Throughout the year you’ll see a variety of events. Music Therapy: We are committed to providing alternative therapies such as music therapy to help alleviate isolation and the symptoms for those living with dementia. Our trained therapist is funded by charitable donations. They interact directly with residents through live music therapy sessions. This includes singing, playing simple percussion instruments or responding to musical cues in a one-to-one or group setting. |
