Ovidiu Andreescu is Home Manager at Ivy Court.
Growing up in Romania and inspired by my mum who worked in the nursing profession, my dream was to become a nurse. After graduating nursing school in 2013, I applied for my first RGN position in the UK. I then progressed to Clinical Lead and Deputy Home Manager, and finally to Home Manager.
I enjoy all aspects of managing a care home, including making it homely for my residents and offering personal care based on individual needs. It is important to me to support my staff to develop and succeed in their roles. I feel very privileged to be in a role which gives me such fulfilment and enables me to bring my knowledge, experience and skills to my team.
Our residents have a wide-range of personal interests and this is reflected in the activities we offer and the personal touches you will find around the home. Our community here is warm and welcoming. I would welcome anyone to come for a tour and I look forward to introducing you to all we have to offer at Ivy Court.
Located on the western edge of Norwich, Ivy Court is a modern, bespoke care home set in large, beautifully landscaped grounds. It offers residential care, nursing care, and dementia care on a permanent, respite, or convalescent basis.
This luxury care community is light and airy, with full-height windows. Some of the first-floor rooms even have their own private balconies.
Residents can entertain visiting family and friends in the café or one of the quiet lounges, get pampered in the hair salon and barbers, take in a film in the cinema, or enjoy a good book in the reading room. Some ground-floor rooms open directly onto the accessible patio areas; all bedrooms have private ensuite facilities.
At Ivy Court, highly trained staff provide expert care around the clock and ensure that everyone’s individual needs and preferences are met. An engaging program of daily activities, including trips out, rounds off this wonderful lifestyle for the residents of this popular home.
