Meet The Manager

Diane Rumsby is The Home Manager at James Terry Court.

I have worked for RMBI Care Co. for just over 15 years. During this time, I have progressed from a Care Assistant to Home Manager. I started my employment for RMBI Care Co. as a Care Assistant at our Home Scarbrough Court in Northumberland. Later, I moved to Prince George Duke of Kent Court in Chislehurst in October 2012 as a Shift Leader. I was then promoted to Senior Shift Leader, then to Deputy Home Manager five years ago. I moved across to James Terry Court in May 2021 as the Home Manager.

Surrounded by landscaped gardens in South Croydon, Surrey, James Terry Court provides residential care, nursing and residential dementia support. We can support up to 76 residents with permanent care or short stay respite breaks.

We provide residential care, nursing care and residential dementia support and we have been supporting older people for over 170 years.

When a person moves into one of our Homes, we’ll carry out an assessment to understand what type of care the person requires and whether we can meet their care needs. Our management staff have been carefully trained to take you and your family through the process, step by step, from the moment you get in touch with us.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Visiting our Homes is a lot less restricted following changes in Government guidance, as there is no limit on the number of visitors, or a requirement to provide evidence of a negative LFD test result. We do however ask that if visitors are feeling unwell, they avoid visiting the Home until such time as they are well again. We also continue to request that visitors wear a face mask when visiting their loved ones to further decrease the risk of infection.

The home is Virus testing, Offering enhanced training and Using sterilisation devices

Care home staff continue to undertake regular testing twice weekly to ensure that our residents are protected and they wear a face mask whenever they are delivering personal care.
