Lucy Deighton is Registered Manager at Alcedo Care Southport.
My name is Lucy and I am the Registered Care Manager. I have over 9 years’ experience within the Health and Social Care Sector starting as a home carer myself. My career in Healthcare started off in College, studying a Health and Social Diploma and working for a local home care agency within Southport. Once completing my Diploma, I then studied at the University of Central Lancashire where I successfully graduated from University with a Health and Social Care Degree. Throughout my career, I have always challenged myself to find ways to support and enable those in my care provision to receive the best possible care and support, by working with social services, district nurses, and all other multi-disciplinary healthcare teams and of course, my team of staff by ensuring they are well trained, organised and professional. My role is to ensure all clients’ needs are met every day to the highest possible level.
Alcedo Care are experts in the Homecare field and we understand that admitting or realising you may need help or support with day to day life can be a huge and sometimes life changing decision. As a Homecare provider, we at Alcedo Care take pride in our work and have huge respect for our carers and the work they do.

Maintaining good nutrition and hydration is extremely important. Carers can prepare all types of meals for our clients. This may be simply heating a ready meal and cooking some vegetables to accompany it or cooking a full meal depending on the visit time available and the client's wishes. |
