Daniel Grab is Home Manager at Knebworth Care Home.
I joined Care UK in 2022 as a Deputy Manager after hearing amazing feedback from the public.
Being promoted to Home Manager in 2023 was a huge moment in my career. I’m a Registered Nurse and have achieved my level 5 in Management in Health and Social Care training.
As a Home Manager, it’s important to be professional, compassionate, hardworking and a team player. I love getting to the end of my shift, when I can reflect on the day and all the tasks I accomplished. Working alongside amazing team members who are dedicated to delivering outstanding care to residents every day inspires me.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with family.
Knebworth care home offers a superb lifestyle and quality care in beautiful surroundings. The experienced team provides permanent and short-term nursing and residential care, including for people who are living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
Inside the Knebworth care home there are stunning, hotel-style facilities including a café and bar, cinema room, comfortable lounges and a hair and beauty salon. Outside there are beautiful landscaped gardens for residents to enjoy.
The team is dedicated to enabling residents to get the most out of each day. The lifestyle team plans fun group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' hobbies and interests, as well as trips out to the shops or the local pub for lunch.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
At Knebworth we encourage residents to mix socially, but we also understand that some residents prefer one-to-one time with their favourite carer or member of the team. Everything we do is decided by residents and we like to keep things spontaneous. We’ll alter planned activities if people are in the mood to do something else. We’ll also make the most of a nice day by enjoying our lovely garden – whatever residents are keen to do. Our dedicated Lifestyle teams organises activities, entertainment, outings and experiences tailored to your loved one’s interests and hobbies. We also understand that group activities aren’t for everyone so we will spend one to one time with your loved one if that's what they'd prefer. |
