Caroline Sears is Care Home Manager at Knowle Park Nursing Home.
I originally trained as a nurse, before moving into management within care homes 20 years ago. I maintain my clinical knowledge by working with the clinical team and attending relevant training. I also have a master’s degree in human management.
I have the responsibility of overseeing and supporting the team to ensure the home runs in the best way possible to achieve outstanding customer service and quality of care. Also through my role as Home Manager I support our residents and their relatives, which is one of the main reasons I love my work.
My biggest achievement was being a finalist for Manager of the Year in the Surrey Care Association awards. In my spare time I enjoy singing with Rock Choir. I also do yoga and swimming and have done Ceroc dancing in the past, which I would like to start up again.
I have lived in Haslemere for 21 years and have an enjoyable cross-country route to get to Cranleigh.
You’ll find a calming sense of space at Knowle Park Care Home, both inside and out, at this former grand country house estate in Cranleigh in Surrey, within easy reach of both Guildford and Horsham.

A restored period property, Knowle Park that retains its traditional country house charm whilst offering modern amenities such as en-suite rooms and an in-house hair salon and barbers. All the day spaces including the conservatory have large windows to bring in the gardens and the views, and set the backdrop for engaging daily activities for everyone.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. Residents’ bedrooms and communal areas all benefit from spacious rooms, high ceilings, grand proportions and an original style. In addition to the beautifully restored manor house, residents also enjoy some nine acres of stunning parkland with extensive views over the Surrey countryside. Great care was taken during Knowle Park’s restoration to retain the fine period features of the house. As a result, the building has an incredibly individual style and the ambience of a traditional country house. |
