Meet The Manager

Carly Campbell is Manager at Lane House Residential Care Home.

Carly has worked in the care sector for almost 30 years in a variety of roles, working her way up from a Care Assistant to Management, She is a caring, empathetic individual who strives to promote a holistic approach within Lane House. Carly is passionate about the promotion of person centered care and champions the input of our service users into their individual care delivery.

Lane House is a residential care home with an excellent reputation for providing care for elderly people, especially those made particularly vulnerable by conditions like dementia.

We provide 24-hour supervision and a haven for our residents in modern and comfortable surroundings, where their needs and wishes are uppermost in our minds.

Lane House was once a large Georgian house – and has been expanded to provide registered care for 33 elderly men and women.We are fully compliant with the government's Governing Body CQC.

At Lane House, we prioritise the physical and emotional needs of our service users above all else, promoting choice to enable them to make informed decisions about their care wherever possible. We follow all regulations and guidelines, are transparent in our approach and risk assess as required in order to meet the individual needs/wishes of our service users.

Lane House operates a strict recruitment process and all potential candidates are vetted in line with legal requirements and receive a thorough induction period. Regular online and in house training is provided for all aspects of the care sector for the whole staffing team and additional training can be provided upon request.

We have two lounges. A quiet lounge is situated at the front of the house, overlooking the front gardens and car park. You can enjoy the companionship of friends in the comfortable seating, and join in activities held in here if you wish.

The garden lounge is to the rear of Lane House. This large and airy room overlooks the lovely walled garden, always kept neat and pretty by our gardening team. Here residents can watch television, listen to music, or sit and chat with friends.

Description

All bedrooms at Lane House are designed with the comfort of residents in mind. They have ensuite toilets and showers. Beds are designed specifically for older people with mobility problems. Lane House has 29 single rooms, 27 with en-suite facilities. There are 2 double rooms with en-suite facilities.

There is also plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space for personal belongings. Each room has a chair a large mirror and dressing table to keep personal items and ornaments. Or, for instance, to sit at to write a letter. Every bedroom also has a television.

There is always something exciting and fun to do at Lane House. That has a lot to do with having a fantastic and dedicated team of two activities: Donna and Leah. Their experience in creating an engaging environment that is tailored to meet residents' diverse needs and interests is invaluable.

Our activities team organises a wide range of activities, ensuring that there’s always something fun and engaging for everyone, regardless of their interests or abilities.

Our dedicated Facebook page allows the family to keep in touch with the weekly events within the home. So, as a family member or friend, you would never feel disconnected from your loved ones if you are unable to visit or just to show extended family and friends.

Lane House offers various activities to enhance residents' physical, mental, and social well-being.

Below is a list of the types of activities that Donna and Leah organise:

- Professional performers will sing appropriate age-led music sessions.
- Art and Craft Workshops: Painting, drawing, knitting, and other crafts.
- Music and Dance: Music therapy sessions
- Group Outings: Trips to local attractions and cultural events.
