Meet The Manager

Beverley Murray is Home Manager at Langdon House.

Beverley Murray is our Home Manager at Langdon House in Cambridge. For Beverley, this new role feels a bit like coming full circle—Langdon House is where she began her career in care in the early ’90s, starting as a carer.

Since then, she has built a wealth of experience in the care sector, and we’re thrilled to have her back where it all started.

Beverley lives in Duxford and is a proud mother of four grown up children and grandmother to ten grandchildren, ranging in age from 18 years to just a few weeks old. Although her family is spread across the UK, from nearby to Ireland and Scotland, they keep her busy and bring her great joy. Outside of work, she loves catching up with friends over a nice meal and staying connected with her loved ones.

Activities Are So Important

Making every moment matter is just as important to us as the standard of care we deliver at Langdon House. Our main focus is ensuring that our residents’ needs are at the heart of everything we do. When a new resident joins us, we invest time in understanding their life story, their hobbies and the important people in their lives. We use this information to encourage our residents to live life the way they choose, with laughter and love.

Regular feedback forums give residents and family members the opportunity to suggest new experiences, outings and events, ensuring that our activities programme is varied, engaging, and reflects the choices and interests of our residents.

We strive for new and creative ways to meet the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual needs of our residents, including some of them starring in this brochure! Our regular clubs include gardening, exercise classes, quizzes and church services and we use our links with local schools and nurseries, churches and businesses to enhance our resident experience. We also know how to throw a good party and can often find the residents and team dancing and singing along to live entertainment.
