Erin Langley is Care Home Manager at Laverstock Care Centre.
Erin’s role at Laverstock Care Centre allows her to channel her extensive experience and passion into supporting residents and leading a skilled team. She thrives on creating an environment where each resident is treated with the utmost respect and care, ensuring their well-being and quality of life are consistently enhanced.
Laverstock is a purpose built care home offering a full range of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 80 elderly residents, including trial stays, short stay, convalescent care and long-term care.
In providing three distinct types of care under one roof, Laverstock is ideally positioned to deliver a true care pathway. As a resident’s care needs change, we are equipped to meet those needs ensuring that elderly residents are able to remain within the community they have become an integral part of.
Laverstock’s dementia care provision has been designed to meet the DSDC’s Dementia Care Standards, which are widely acknowledged as best practice when providing living environments for people living with dementia. This approach ensures that residents are able to move freely around the home, with bedrooms and communal areas appropriately laid out and clearly signposted to minimise confusion or disorientation.
Many bedrooms feature a memory box by the front door, and mementos of a resident’s life which help to provide them with familiarity, whilst also bringing to life their experiences, personality and unique life’s story for staff and visitors alike. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms.
The Laverstock Care home in Wiltshire is ideally equipped to provide residential support for older people living with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and Korsakoff’s syndrome. Our team never lose sight of the fact that, first and foremost, Laverstock Care Centre is home to our residents. The home has a light, airy and welcoming ambience and residents benefit from a broad and stimulating range of activities.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
