Rebecca Whitehouse is General Manager at Lawton Manor Care Home.
Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am General Manager at Lawton Manor. I have worked within the health and social care sector for over 15 years now in a variety of roles and services all over Central England. My passion has always been older people's care - I feel that the older generation has such a wealth of life experience and knowledge they can pass on to us, which means every day I learn something new in my role. I started my career in care as a carer and have worked my way up to then work within a variety of management roles within the sector including home management/commissioning manager/regional support manager/regional manager in both residential and nursing settings. I am passionate about making a difference to the people who live with us and feel I am in a very privileged role to be able to do this. I am also passionate about working with teams to develop and enhance their skills and knowledge to make them the best they can be.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things. |
