Meet The Manager

Helen Caul is Home Manager at Lincoln House Care Home.

Lincoln House is nestled in landscaped gardens with a peaceful courtyard featuring sunshades, benches and raised flowerbeds. All our rooms are furnished to a high standard and most are en suite with a connection for TV, Wi-Fi and a telephone. We have four comfortable lounges and several smaller seating areas.

We aim to make life as rich, fun and fulfilling as possible. Residents choose from a wide range of activities which might include going out for lunch, one-on-one activities at home or joining in with organised entertainment. A hairdresser, chiropodist, optician and Pet Therapy dog all visit regularly. Dentists can also be requested as and when needed. Personal visitors are welcome any time.
We encourage residents to be as independent as possible, with help given as needed. Some people are happy in their own rooms while others are happier in the communal sitting areas. Above all, we recognise the need to keep stimulated and meaningful activities are offered every day.

Our delicious food is nutritionally balanced and cooked using fresh produce. Everyone has a choice of menu, every day, and special diets are catered for.

Activities Are So Important

We run a person centred activities programme based on residents' choice to make life as stimulating and enjoyable as possible. Listening to residents' ideas, we feed them into the weekly programme, these might include cream teas, film club, art club, gardening or flower arranging.

We also take residents out at their request, perhaps for a breath of fresh air or a trip into town shopping or for a spot of lunch - the possibilities are endless. Some residents are not well enough or choose not to leave their rooms, so one-to-one sessions with the activities team are provided. Staff and residents enjoy a chat, cups of tea or perhaps lunch together.

Seasonal celebrations and events are also a chance to do something exciting! For example lunch and red roses for Valentine's Day, a 1950s style street party for the Royal Wedding, an Easter party with eggs. We also enjoy raising funds for charities such as Red Nose Day, Children in Need and our Knitting Club knits blankets for Smile International.
