Activities Are So Important

We have lots of activities in the home. We try to vary each day to suit residents preferences and, always aim to give choice and variety. Arts & Crafts, Knit & Natter, Woodwork, Poetry & Book Club, Pamper Days, Table-top Games & Quizzes, Chair- based Exercise Sessions, Gardening, Sensory Days and much more are on offer.

It is very important to engage people in activities they already love as well as introducing them to something a little different to the hobbies and interests they had before coming into the home. Hobbies and interests also include Reminiscence Sessions where we get to know a little bit more about our residents and this can lead to lots of conversation.

Residents can find lots to do throughout the day as we have a conservatory where some like to go for a quiet time perhaps to read. There is also a library with books and magazines, the snug is a lovely space to have a game of dominoes or cards. The theatre is very popular and we have lots on offer for home entertainment.

A sing-along is a good way to pass the day and they can bring lovely memories back from when we were young and care free.
