Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are delighted our care home staff and residents are in the priority groups for the Covid-19 vaccinations, as this is the most vital tool in the fight against the virus. As of January 2021, every member of staff and resident at Country Court has been offered the first round of the Covid-19 vaccination. This means that all 33 of our care homes have started the vaccination process, with many having received the second injection already. For those unable to receive the vaccine initially (such as anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 28 days), we are receiving regular visits from our local GPs to administer the first jab as soon as possible. This is the same for any new residents or staff in our homes, all of whom will be offered the vaccine as soon as they join us at Country Court.

Activities Are So Important

Our nursing homes have Wellbeing and Activities coordinators to encourage and facilitate residents to choose daily activities which have the simple objective to encourage social interaction and stimulation. These activities are designed as to improve the variety in residents' daily lives, introduce new skills and enable residents to discover new passions.

All of Country Court Care's homes have developed very strong ties with their local community. We always encourage local people to attend events at the homes, as well as encouraging residents to join in the fun.

As part of our tailored day-to-day lifestyle, residents at Lyle House can enjoy a varied range of activities covering a wide selection of games, crafts, entertainment and quizzes that encourage physical, mental and emotional stimulation in addition to helping maintain an active social life.

The enrichment, entertainment and activities we offer at our network of care homes in London are specially tailored to our resident’s hobbies and interests and organised by our dedicated Activities and Well-Being Co-Ordinators to be suitably accommodating to our resident’s health and interests.
