What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
We are continuing to work in a person centred way, with induction being in depth which entails online training, supervisions and shadowing. Activities are going well, with our activities person who is at the home from Mon-Thursday and we have a Pastor who comes and gives service regularly. Family and friends are involved and happy with the service and care provided to their loved ones, many compliments have been received from family members. Care plans are being completed in a person centred approach, with the residents having full input in their care, where they have capacity. All service users are empowered to make choices about their daily life, to give them as much independence as possible. Each staff member has full access to Person Centred Software to be able to document any changes, likes/dislikes and emotional support in a person centred way. Staff are still receiving full training on induction and ongoing in safeguarding, mental capacity act, equality and diversity, GDPR and many more. All residents, birthdays or special occasions are celebrated by staff and families at Mary's Home. There are all en-suite rooms available at Mary's Home, a large lounge and dining area and bigger staff facilities. To keep the high standard of care we wish to provide. Staffing retention is high at Mary's Home no agency staff are used, which assists with providing good quality care. We are still supporting residents in maintaining their independence, supporting them in the community, so they can take a stepdown into assisted living. We are upholding a good relationship, with the local authority and local intervention teams. |
