Meet The Manager

Ria Willett is General Manager at Mount Tryon.

My background consists of being an Army intensive care nurse so I am extremely organised, caring and efficient. I have 16 years of nursing experience, which includes 10 years of intensive care experience. I have gained valuable knowledge of caring for residents and understand it is crucial to provide gold standard care for the individual and their families.

Here at Mount Tryon we have a beautiful home full of wonderful residents and a fantastic team of staff.  We are here to motivate and empower residents to live a fulfilling life in a premium setting. I understand making the decision to move your loved one to a care home can be a daunting experience, but I am here to help you with the journey, answer all of your questions and make the transition a positive one for you and your loved one.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are delighted that the majority of our residents, patients and staff have now been vaccinated. And we'll do everything we can to ensure that all new residents, patients and staff are vaccinated, where medically able to to, or are willing o be vaccinated before moving in or working in our homes and hospitals.

We also ensure that any new residents and patients coming into our homes and hospitals , whether from the local hospital or the community have been tested in advance and are negative for COVID-19.

We continue to have a robust supply chain of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) in place, and our staff are using this in accordance with the Government guidance. All of our staff, irrespective of their role will be wearing protective face masks at all times to ensure the safety of our residents and team.

We continue to implement our advanced cleaning practices, and have clear standards in the case of managing any confirmed or suspected cases.

All staff practise good hand and respiratory hygiene to prevent the spread of germs, and surfaces that are often touched are cleaned and disinfected frequently. We're proud to be the only care provider to win the RoSPA Health and Safety Award in both 2019 and 2020.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Sterilisation & Disinfection Devices We are using sterilisation and/or disinfection devices within our care setting.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Safe Visiting Space
safe-tick We have a safe visiting space

The visiting suites are accessible internally by residents and externally by visitors, and are designed to resemble a living room - a warm and welcoming environment with comfortable furnishings.

The suite has an intercom system fitted so residents can clearly communicate, and engage in conversations, whilst being able to see their family and friends through  a Perspex glass divider fitted to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
