With over three decades in social care, I've honed my skills and passion for fostering positive outcomes. I bring a wealth of experience, innovation and a commitment to high-quality person-centred care. In previous roles, I have been recognised for leadership excellence and commitment to dignity in care. 

Newgate Lodge is a thrilling chapter in my career. I'm excited to be part of a strong and well-established team and together, we're committed to providing the best possible care and outcomes for our residents. The opportunity to manage this wonderful home, with its exciting plans, is one I embrace with pride. From day one, I've been struck by the amazing staff at Newgate. We're not just a team; we're a family. The dedication and support I receive from this exceptional group are unparalleled.

Newgate Lodge Care Home is a residential home situated in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire which supports elderly residents with day to day care. The home is ideally located close to the town centre with good bus, rail and road links to ensure loved ones can conveniently visit anytime. Newgate is also only a short journey to the picturesque settings of Newstead Abbey and Sherwood Forest.

Newgate is registered to provide Residential and Dementia care for 60 older persons. We have been awarded the Dementia Quality Mark and our CQC rating is “GOOD” with good achieved in all 5 inspection areas. The home has a warm family atmosphere as well as excellent outdoor and indoor facilities

Our Building and Facilities

Newgate Lodge Care Home is a purpose built 60-bed, all ensuite, residential home providing day to day support for elderly residents. This home is designed to accommodate those needing a lower level of care as well as residents with dementia.

Outside the home we have a large car park for visitors and at the rear we have a secure courtyard with water fountain, flowers, fruit and vegetable plants and patio furniture for residents to comfortably enjoy nature.

We are currently renovating a third lounge inside the home. We have just completed two new lounges and serveries in March 2023. Get in touch to book a visit!

Inside the home we have 60 en-suite rooms, many with shower facilities. The assisted bathrooms are equipped with mechanical powered (Arjo and Parker) Baths, with completely separate showering facilities (wet rooms).

Activities Are So Important

At Newgate Lodge Care Home we are extremely passionate about providing a fulfilling life for our residents. The home encourages an atmosphere of fun and inclusion. Our dedicated full-time Activities Co-ordinators, provide a great range of stimulating, person centred activities to encourage our elderly residents to stay active and continue socialising.

Residents will have the opportunity to enjoy a range of activities, such as arts and crafts, gardening, baking, music and trips out into the community of which participation and accompaniment by relatives is welcomed. Outings include visits to the theatre, garden centres, the coast, shopping trips, boat trips, dining out etc. Activity Specialists ‘Lost Chord’ provide Newgate Lodge Care Home with regular entertainers such as vocalists and classical musicians, we also have visits from dancers and even a mobile zoo. We are also privileged to be visited by establishments such as the local police and the British legion.
