Miguel, originally from the picturesque island of St. Lucia in the West Indies, has been a Registered Nurse for the past 14 years. Choosing this profession out of a genuine love for people and a passion for caring, Miguel migrated to the United Kingdom in December 2019.
Initially working as a pre-registered nurse, she progressed to become a nursing home manager, demonstrating excellence in overseeing daily operations, implementing rigorous quality standards, and providing strong leadership to ensure the well-being and care for her residents.
Miguel's hobbies include reading, cherishing quality moments with her family, and staying ahead of current developments in healthcare.

So our dedicated Activities Leaders at Norwood Green Care Home gently encourage residents to continue doing things they enjoy. We run a busy activities programme, including animal therapy, religious services, days out, and community visits from local schoolchildren. If someone had a hobby or pastime they did before they arrived, we’d encourage them to continue it with us. Or perhaps they would like to learn something new. The important thing is that we treat every resident as an individual. They're most welcome if they enjoy sharing time with others, either in our home or on an organised trip out.
