Meet The Manager

Sharon Cordrey is The Home Manager at Oakdene Rest Home.

Hi, my name is Sharon and I am the Manager of Oakdene and have been working here for 5 years. I have many years of experience plus a degree in Social Work. My aim here is to ensure all of our residents are treated with respect, dignity and have full choice and control in their lives. All of our residents have a voice and should be heard!

Sharon Cordrey

We at Sohal Healthcare understand that it is a difficult decision to enter residential care accommodation, for both the elderly and their relatives. To move into a community setting after years of independent living is a major change which many people approach with confused feelings and apprehension.

In all of our care homes we appreciate this, therefore if you or your relatives are in need of help now, or are planning for the future, we hope we can help in any way and do all we can to ensure the move is as easy and acceptable as possible.

Activities Are So Important

Activities are given high priority Oakdene Rest Home, and we pride ourselves on the range and variety of activities we offer our residents. However this does not only take place in the communal areas, as occasionally some residents may prefer to remain in their own rooms. In which case our Activities Co-ordinator will spend time with them too.
