Meet The Manager
Ruth Roman is Home Manager at Oaktree Court.
I began working at Oaktree Court in January 2024, and feel honoured to be part of such fantastic team where nothing is too much trouble, and everyone honours our ‘whole home approach’.
I started my career in social care in 2003 as a Healthcare Assistant, gaining experiences, knowledge, and qualifications in various positions which, has enabled me to manage care home services for the past decade and more!
Oaktree Court offers a warm welcome to all. With ‘Family’ being one of our values, you are sure to feel at home during your stay.
Getting to know the people living at Oaktree and their visitors is a priority for us. This ensures we can tailor our services to the individuals’ preferences.
Oaktree Court care is a beautiful care home set in 14 acres of stunning Somerset countryside and against a backdrop of rich woodland. Located just half a mile from Wellington and 7 miles from Taunton, this beautiful former mansion house provides respite, residential, nursing and specialist dementia care and takes great pride in the wonderful resident experience and exceptional care they provide.
Awarded a Good rating in early 2020 by the CQC, the home enjoys a 9.8 review score on carehome.co.uk and is part of the award-winning Majesticare group of care homes, a group which has been recognised in Carehome.co.uk Top 20!

Variety is the spice of life, whatever your age. We want our residents to have the opportunity to explore a huge range of hobbies and activities in their new home. Our homes offer a wide range of imaginative and inclusive activities. So, whether that’s pottering in the garden, being creative in our arts and crafts sessions, cooking and baking, enjoying a sherry after a walk in the grounds or watching a movie in the cinema with new friends, there’s something for everyone. Each Majesticare home has a dedicated activities coordinator on hand to create a social calendar filled with fun and engaging activities, and not only for our residents – friends and family are more than welcome to join in too. As active members of the local community, we welcome a variety of visitors to our homes to share their enthusiasm, knowledge and experiences with our residents. This ranges from local historians, visits from local school children and even musical bands. Many of our homes have their own minibus, enabling residents to take trips to the shops, places they’ve long enjoyed visiting or to explore new destinations. |
