Emma Jodrell is Manager at Oaktree Lodge Residential Home.
I have worked in health and social care for most of my adult life. I've worked as a carer, senior, care coordinator, manager and now a registered manager of Oaktree Lodge. Although I did not set out in life to work in care, it's something that came naturally to me.Oaktree Lodge has been a learning curve for me but I'm so proud of it and the culture and friendliness it gives out.
It's a loving home where individuals' needs are put first and care for in a person-centred way. It's a positive atmosphere and each day is enjoyable. I would be more than happy for my relative to have a place here and be cared for by wonderful staff.
Oaktree Lodge is part of the multi award winning Manor Community. Oaktree Lodge provides person-centred, rehabilitative care and support to help people achieve their goals and aspirations. Our aim is to increase independence and our vision is to see outstanding person-centred practice throughout Adult Social Care sector.
Oaktree Lodge is a recent addition to Manor Community’s offering, following its purchase in late 2019. Occupying a hilltop position, the Home offers residents a beautiful period Home with fabulous views over Clevedon and surrounding areas. The Home is registered and regulated with the Care Quality Commission.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
