Activities Are So Important |
---|
Living at Parris Lawn is exactly what your loved one wants it to be. They choose how to spend their day, doing as much or as little as they wish. We get to know every person we care for as individuals, including their needs, likes and what’s important to them. When we understand a person, we can plan activities and experiences that they will love. Our thoughtful activity team ensures there’s plenty to do at Parris Lawn. Musicians and singers often come and perform for residents, and there’s a church service every Sunday. Other activities include crafts, quizzes, cheese and wine evenings and film afternoons. Enjoying exercise and fresh air is vital for health and wellbeing, and residents look forward to the wheelchair-friendly walk with our team each morning. A small group goes swimming each week, while other residents continue to take part in community groups, including the WI. As one resident puts it, “My life is my own. I like to call it improved living, because everything is here for me if I need or want it.” Our minibus outings are very popular, whether we’re heading to the shops in Lewes, to a local museum, or the seaside for fresh air and fish and chips. We also have a private chauffeur for anyone who wishes to travel in style. |
