Madalina Ilie is General Manager at Paternoster House.
I trained as a registered nurse in 2010 and have worked in the elderly care sector since joining Barchester in 2015.
I love my job and was very proud to be promoted first to Clinical Lead, then Deputy Manager and now General Manager, responsible for the care of those we support.
This is a wonderful home with a fantastic team, and we are all committed to creating a happy, friendly atmosphere for all residents, giving them a new home with the support they need at this stage of their lives. We have a full activities programme so that residents can pursue their interests and enjoy an active lifestyle.
Paternoster House is a specialist nursing home supporting people in need of nursing and dementia care in a warm and friendly environment. We also share our site with Jasmine Court Independent Hospital, which provides support for people with mental health needs.
We have a happy, friendly team of highly qualified and dedicated staff who focus on the individual needs of each resident and will develop a tailored care plan for each person.
Our teams strive to provide everything a resident may need, from our in-house kitchen and dining facilities to activities and excursions to local sites and further afield.
The local area offers much of interest, from the Abbey and King Harold's final resting place to the scenic Epping Forest and the pleasures of both the canal and River Lea. We boast a large number of restaurants nearby, with food ranging from 'Pie and Mash' to Cordon Bleu.
We are confident we have much to offer and can help meet your needs. We are always happy to meet with you and offer a guided tour of our facilities and grounds. You are welcome to drop in for a cup of coffee and meet the team.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. Activities Are So Important |
---|
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can. |
