Mary Tolladay is Home Manager at Penrose Court.

Mary is a Registered General Nurse who qualified in Birmingham and then worked in East Birmingham Hospital. Mary has a wealth of experience in managing homes having relocated to the Home Counties in 2003 and has been managing Nursing Homes ever since. Mary is passionate in ensuring that her team provide the very best in person-centred care.

Penrose Court Care Home is situated in the market town of Biggleswade, and is a private, luxury care home that offers premier accommodation for up to 65 residents. Our dedicated team provides the highest levels of Nursing support as well as Residential, Dementia and Respite Care. 

Our home at Penrose Court Care Home is built on the philosophy that each and every individual deserves to lead a fulfilling life, something we are proud to offer to our residents thanks to the caring and supporting environment we have built.

All of our rooms and suites at Penrose Court are completely furnished and ready for our residents to personalise with anything they see fit. Their room really is their very own space; their own ‘home-from-home’.

We encourage all of our residents to really make themselves at home, and personalise their rooms in a way that makes them feel like they belong with us and are really part of the Penrose family. Whether they choose to decorate their space with cherished photographs, decorations, or even modest furniture pieces, as long as our residents are happy, we’re happy.

At Penrose Court, we bring the big screen to you so you can enjoy films, old and new, in the comfort of your own home. No matter what your favourite genre of movie is, we guarantee our film selection has something for everyone, whether you’re a resident, or a loved one who is visiting.

Our arts and crafts programme is open to all residents, regardless of their ability with a pen or paintbrush. We actively encourage all of our residents to take part in our creative activities, and we provide a variety of materials to assist them in creating works of art and mementos that they can either keep and cherish, or give to their loved ones.
