Katherine Matthews is Home Manager at Perry Manor.
I have a passion for person-centred care and I see how hard my team works every day to deliver impressively personalised care. I love walking around the home chatting to residents, relatives and colleagues. I also enjoy delivering colleague training. Every member of the team brings something different, and supporting them to achieve their potential is a large part of what I do.
Its been an exciting few years at Perry Manor. In late 2018 we were thrilled to receive an ‘outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission at our routine quality inspection. We were the first home in Worcester to achieve this rating.
Im also honoured to have won some recent awards: silver in the British Journal of Nursing Awards 2019 and Best Dementia Care Manager at the National Dementia Care Awards 2019.
