Rachel Dutton is Registered Manager at Primrose Bank Care Home.
Rachel grew up at Primrose Bank, moving into the front part of the building at the age of 2 when her Mum and Aunty founded the home in 1988, living at the care home while work was completed. Since then she has done pretty much every role from pot washer to senior carer. She then went on to pursue her dream of being a qualified nurse and worked at Blackpool Victoria hospital till returning to take over from her mum Jackie as registered manager. She has managed Primrose Bank since 2017 and is incredibly proud to keep it as family run and owned. She is a huge advocate for person centred care, innovation and maintaining excellent standards. Rachel is passionate about placing family at the centre of everything we do.
Outside work, Rachel is mum to Finn and Angus (who often call in to the home to say hello and tell jokes). She is also a keen seamstress and hosts the weekly sewing club at the home.
Located just a stone’s throw away from the heart of Poulton-Le-Fylde, one of the Fylde Coasts most historic market towns, Primrose Bank has been taking care of it’s extended family since February 1988.
We’re proud to have the wellbeing, safety and happiness of our residents at the heart of our care as we continue to support them to live full, contented lives whilst enjoying retirement.
Steeped in history, Primrose Bank is an elegant Edwardian residence, sympathetically converted into a purposeful residential home that allows for privacy, choice and a dignified lifestyle.

Our Pets |

At Primrose Bank we love animals, but unfortunately we have a few restrictions on pets. Unfortunately we can't allow resident's own four legged friends to take residence at Primrose Bank along with their owners. We do however love it when they come to visit, and it's an open door where that is concerned. We just ask that visitors be mindful around other resident's who may have allergies and dislikes We do have our own two Primrose Bank Dogs - Sisters Molly and Willow - who visit the home regularly to say hello. We also regularly have events such as zoo to you and other animal therapy sessions as part of our extensive activities schedule |
