Additionally, they promote mental health initiatives, providing counselling and recreational activities to reduce stress and promote a positive atmosphere. The facility prioritizes nutrition with balanced meal plans tailored to dietary needs. By prioritizing comprehensive care, Richden Park ensures the safety and comfort of both staff and residents.

Activities Are So Important

With a dedicated activities coordinator, our residents are invited to take part in a wide range of hobbies, interests and past-times, including live entertainment from local musicians, movie afternoons, afternoon tea and pet therapy with visiting animals!

We have a bright, welcoming activities room where residents can socialise with their friends or they can use the space for quiet one-to-one sessions. We celebrate key calendar events and occasions for our residents, including Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, VE Day, Easter and Christmas, telling stories and reminiscing, sharing memories and creating new ones, too. These kinds of activities aid dementia care as they allow residents to use their skill of recalling life experiences from many years ago, giving them a sense of competence, companionship and confidence.

Residents can also enjoy our large, self-contained garden, resplendent with flowers, vegetation and a fish pond. Here, they can do a spot of bird watching, enjoy some tea in the sunshine or stretch their legs.
