Anthea Reid is Manager at Robert Harvey House.
Anthea has the Registered Managers Award qualification and has been General Manager at Robert Harvey House since 2008. She has worked in the care sector for 35 years. What she likes best about her job is being with the residents and getting to know all about them. Anthea champions the use of new technology which enhances the quality of life for our residents (on behalf of all our care homes). She is well known in the local community and with external professionals in Birmingham.
Located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Handsworth Wood, Robert Harvey House offers the highest possible standards of care and support for those requiring nursing care.

We offer our residents a range of spaces to relax in, including our garden, lounges and quiet spaces. We have ‘the Library’ where you can relax in our leather chesterfield furnishings and oak panelled surroundings, maybe watch a film or sporting events on the large television. Our salon provides weekly appointments to meet hairdressing needs and clothes are laundered on site. We also offer Sensory Street, a replica street of vintage shops and a tearoom which complements our programme of reminiscence activities. There is a fully functioning sweet shop, along with a post office and butchers’ shop that have interactive memorabilia. All of these things bring people happy memories through long-term recall, and our staff are trained to have the dementia awareness required to maximise this experience with and for the residents. |

We are unable to accommodate pets but residents have access to a range of animals through our programme of Animal Assisted Activities. We have 3 Macaws and 2 pygmy goats in the garden and 2 parrots in our reception area who may greet you on arrival. |
