Nabela Shahid

Located near Aldenham Country Park and the centre of Harrow, our care home is close to shops, restaurants and other attractions, with lakeside walks right on our doorstep.

Our dedicated team provides a range of care and support for our residents, including nursing care, palliative care and respite care.

Our care home has been designed with the usual comforts you’d expect such as three large lounge and dining areas, a courtyard garden and cosy bedrooms, which provide a warm place for our residents to rest and relax.

However it’s the small personal touches and our friendly team, who care for our residents as if they were members of their own family, which make Rowanweald a true home from home.

We welcome visits from family and friends and have an open door policy, so whether loved ones like to pop in for a coffee or take part in an activity, we encourage them to become part of the community within our home.

We hold regular meetings for residents and relatives, enabling our residents and their loved ones to be directly involved in everyday life at Rowanweald.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

We believe it is important that our residents spend their time as they choose, so have a dedicated activities person to support them to take part in interesting activities, rekindle old past times and try new things.

We have a hairdressing salon and our residents also enjoy being pampered with manicures and hand massages.

Regular activities on offer include everything from reminiscence sessions, gardening, arts and crafts, table-top games, bingo, film afternoons and live music entertainment.

Our residents also help host regular themed community events throughout the year including charitable fundraisers, summer fetes and Christmas fairs.
