Nabela Shahid is Deputy Manager at Rowanweald Residential and Nursing Home.
Previously our deputy manager for five years, Nabela has been a nurse since 2006 and now our home manager. “It’s an honour to lead the home and I feel very proud.”
Located near Aldenham Country Park and the centre of Harrow, our care home is close to shops, restaurants and other attractions, with lakeside walks right on our doorstep.
Our dedicated team provides a range of care and support for our residents, including nursing care, palliative care and respite care.
Our care home has been designed with the usual comforts you’d expect such as three large lounge and dining areas, a courtyard garden and cosy bedrooms, which provide a warm place for our residents to rest and relax.
However it’s the small personal touches and our friendly team, who care for our residents as if they were members of their own family, which make Rowanweald a true home from home.
We welcome visits from family and friends and have an open door policy, so whether loved ones like to pop in for a coffee or take part in an activity, we encourage them to become part of the community within our home.
We hold regular meetings for residents and relatives, enabling our residents and their loved ones to be directly involved in everyday life at Rowanweald.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
