Our Building and Facilities |

At Rusthall Lodge, our heritage is firmly set in the past, but our thinking and approach to care are oriented towards the future. This unique Tunbridge Wells care home began as Miss Margaret Fremlin's residence. It is a grand Victorian/Edwardian house with beautiful grounds. In the mid-60s, the Council of Service Housing Society, based in Monson Road, Tunbridge Wells, identified a need to “provide for local people of limited means and in need of care and attention.” As a result of Miss Fremlin’s generosity and the dedication, hard work, and kindness of a number of other local benefactors and supporters, Rusthall Lodge opened on 1st January 1968. Activities Are So Important |
---|
Moving into a care home is one of the most challenging decisions anybody can make and should not be a reason or time to compromise. Our philosophy of care at Rusthall Lodge is to provide holistic, person-centred service that promotes wellness, happiness, and kindness in an environment where family and friends are encouraged to visit and spend time. We want your time at Rusthall Lodge to be one that is far from compromised, a life enhanced by services that help you live an active and engaging life, whatever your interests are, for as long as possible. Every week, there is a wide range of engaging and exciting activities to participate in, many of which involve the residents in the design and delivery. The weekly schedule is delivered to every room and displayed throughout the home. Our well-being assistants provide our residents with the opportunity to socialise. Where possible, they complement one another, so activities support different aspects of older people's independence and mental well-being, such as their physical health, their sense of belonging to a community, and their sense of purpose. We also have regular trips to local attractions in the Tunbridge Wells area. Use this online form to arrange a visit and get a better flavour of daily life at this unique Kent care home. |
