Activities Are So Important

Our three activity coordinators offer a range of activities, from hand and nail massages to personalised one-on-one sessions for residents unable to join group activities. These private sessions may include listening to music, reading, or reminiscing over photographs. We also offer animal therapy, featuring visits from dogs, miniature ponies, and more. Outings to the local church, railway museum, beach, and parks are regularly organised, and residents enjoy visits from singers, dancers, and an annual Summer and Christmas fete with a memorable elves parade.

Monthly film nights bring residents together for a classic movie, accompanied by snacks and drinks. Residents also participate in monthly meetings with the home manager to discuss concerns, ideas, and suggestions for improvements, from menu changes to activity planning.

Sandringham encourages 24-hour visits from families, friends, and even pets, fostering a true “home away from home” atmosphere. Our ground-floor “Grandma June’s” tea room is available for high teas, birthdays, or simply a relaxing tea and cake.
