Doris Rakoma is Manager at Sandrock Nursing Home.
Doris is an accomplished healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience in nursing and clinical leadership. Recently appointed as a Registered Manager, she brings a wealth of expertise in care planning, staff mentorship, and regulatory compliance from her previous roles as a Clinical Lead Nurse and Senior Registered Nurse.
Doris is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and fostering a positive, collaborative environment for both residents and staff. Her strong background in clinical procedures and team leadership equips her to effectively oversee operations and ensure the well-being of residents in her care.
Sandrock Nursing Home is situated in Wallasey, adjacent to Earlston Park and Library, and close to local shops and transport systems. It is registered to provide nursing and personal care for up to 28 people.
Sandrock Nursing Home recently came under new ownership and has undergone extensive refurbishment. Unfortunately, we have inherited the previous operator's 'Inadequate' rating, which does not accurately reflect the current state of the services and accommodation we offer. We are awaiting a new inspection so we can receive a new rating that takes into account all of the changes we have made, which will be around April or May this year.

Infection Control Training | Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections. |
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |
---|
Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
