Phyllis Sammars is The Home Manager at Seaford Head Retirement Home.
Having been a carer, senior carer, manager and then registered manager and owner I understand what it takes at all ends of the business. I have seen many changes and challenges in health and social care over the years but one thing that never changes is my belief that everyone is entitled to dignity, respect and comfort in their final years and that belief is what I pass down to the team working at our home.
Situated approximately half a mile from Seaford town centre and a quarter of a mile from the seafront and promenade. The home occupies an interesting position at the centre of a mature residential area busy with community life. Scenic views across Seaford Bay and Seaford Head Golf Course can be enjoyed from the upper floors.
The home offers quality accommodation for residents and comprises 10 single rooms and 3 double rooms. There is a large lounge with a separate dining area. A stair lift has been installed to assist residents going to the first floor. The bedrooms are all spacious and all but one has en-suite facilities and are individually designed and decorated.
We offer great comfort to our residents and our fully trained staff are ready to be of assistance to provide you and your loved ones with reassurance and support.
In today’s world, our home may be considered relatively small however this means we can offer that homely atmosphere and unlike larger chains we can offer a personalised service.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. Wireless Internet access (WiFi) The Care Organisation has not indicated availability Mobile Phone Network Coverage (mobile “signal”) The Care Organisation has not indicated availability Telephone for external calling Yes, our care home provides a telephone in all our resident’s rooms. |
