The team at Shockerwick do an outstanding job at providing personalised and compassionate care to our residents whilst also keeping the home light hearted and warm. I am proud to be their manager every day.

Shockerwick House offers a high standard of residential or nursing care, whether for short stays or a place to come and live. You can even arrange day visits on a one-off or regular basis… ideal for just soaking up the peaceful atmosphere.

It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful spot, with wheelchair friendly paths for enjoying the extensive grounds. A perfect place for family and friends to come and enjoy everything on offer, both indoors and out.

Residents can stroll in the grounds, or even potter about in the garden, and then enjoy a manicure and a glass of sherry before having lunch in our oak-panelled dining room.

There are many period features that provide lots of light and make for elegant surroundings.

We maintain a healthy balance of freedom and safety. Our gardens are a great place to take visitors for some fresh air and sunshine.

With high quality food, family and friends are welcome to eat here. The fruit & veg we grow here makes it onto our dining tables.

At Shockerwick House Care Home, residents can enjoy reading, gardening, films, cookery, and yoga.

There are poetry and prose sessions, crosswords, theatre productions, concerts, museum trips and visiting speakers to help keep our residents active.

With trips to the zoo, the arboretum, cider farms, museum, and the Pump Rooms in Bath. Residents will be spoilt for choice.
