Rachel Yoxall is General Manager at Moorlands Lodge Care Home.
I was previously working at The Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth as a Ward Sister managing Cardiology, Endocrinology and Gastroenterology. I also managed a short stay unit whilst being the Tissue Viability Link Nurse.
After 10 years working in the NHS I decided to join Moorlands Lodge in 2018 as Nursing Manager, then the opportunity arrived to apply for the Clinical Services Manager role in 2020, which is essentially the Deputy Home Manager. I enjoy getting to know all of the residents who decide to make Moorlands Lodge their home.
The team at Moorlands Lodge Care Home, situated in the Surrey South Downs are there to welcome you for a guided tour around the home and discuss your specific care needs. With residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care services available, Moorlands Lodge Care Home offers expert care, giving family and friends peace of mind that support is available 24/7. Our home happily accommodates couples and companions who wish to remain together as they continue their care journey and make new memories side by side.

Activities Are So Important |
---|
With extensive weekly activity calendars, there is always plenty to choose from, whatever a resident’s mobility level. Activities inside our homes include ballroom dancing, board games, guest musicians and speakers and of course our ever-popular bridge tournaments. We also organise regular outings, from theatre and cinema trips to nature walks, shopping trips and church services. Many of our homes also have gardening areas and potting sheds, where green-fingered residents can tend their own plot. The wellbeing of our residents is always our main concern, and Moorlands Lodge life is designed to provide a full spectrum of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Regular exercise classes for all abilities, physiotherapy treatments in our specialist therapy rooms, and country trips are just some of the activities by which we maintain physical wellbeing. Stimulating activities such as crossword challenges, quiz nights and foreign language classes offer a great range of options for mental wellbeing. |
