Meet The Manager

Feruna O'Donovan is The Home Manager at Speirs House.

We know that choosing a care home can feel, well, a bit scary. That’s why, at Greensleeves Care we work to make moving into care less daunting. I’m excited to show you what Speirs House has to offer.

It all starts with our 6-week no-obligation trial, so you get to try before committing longer term. Our approach to care means you get skill with a smile, a nice cuppa before you even realise you want one, and a joke when you need it. We think that’s all part of good caring.

Being a charity means our focus is on people, not pockets. And with our Home for Life Commitment, you’ll never be asked to leave if your funds run out. Because that’s part of good caring too.

Feruna O'Donovan

Speirs House care home with nursing in New Malden is considered to be the best nursing home in the Kingston upon Thames borough in south-west London. It provides exceptional nursing care to the older people of New Malden and also Kingston-upon-Thames and Surrey. Speirs House is a highly regarded care home in the local community and is rated Good in all categories by the Care Quality Commission.

We believe that everybody is an individual with a rich history and a wealth of life experience. The team use this belief to really get to know each resident.  This allows us to support and care for them exactly how they would wish to be cared for. It is this ethos that has ensured they received the Eden Alternative accreditation. Speirs House is the only local home to have achieved this international certification for the care they deliver.

The home is managed by Greensleeves Care a not-for-profit organisation and one of the best and most respected care charities in the country.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
