Meet The Manager

Tracey Oliver is Manager at St. James Court.

Tracey has lived in the Hoyland area all of her life and started to work in the care industry from leaving school, working in several care homes around the village.

She started working at St James Court in July 2019 where she worked both days and nights as a senior carer and over the years she has worked up to unit manager, deputy manager and now manager.

She is a caring person which you can see with how she interacts with the residents, relatives and staff. She is good at her job and all of the staff, residents and relatives see this on a daily basis as she goes above and beyond for this care home.

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We ensure there is adequate supply of PPE throughout the building. We have PPE stations dotted around the building which are checked on a daily basis by our domestic team and replenished where needed, and we also have hand sanitiser stations dotted throughout the home which are replenished when needed. We have signs dotted around the home which highlights where our hand washing stations are located.

All of our staff keep up to date with their infection control training, whether it is online training or face to face training, and we also do an infection control audit every month, which is signed off by our regional manager, and a weekly environmental audit which any actions from these audits are dealt with appropriately.

When we have an outbreak we have break out boxes which include all of the necessary PPE and information we also liaise with the infection control team.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Air Filtration & Purification We are using air filtration and/or air purification devices within our care setting.
safe-tick Independent Assessments We have been independently assessed in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Infection Control Training Our staff are trained to use measures which prevent and control infections.
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
